A closed marketplace,
and what that actually means

Caravela is a private marketplace for wholesale trade in fast-moving consumer goods. Nothing inside is public — no listing, price or contact detail is visible without a verified membership, and search engines are refused at the door.

1. 01

   A company applies

   One company, one application, filled in by somebody who works there. We ask what the business does — manufacturer, distributor, importer, brand owner, raw-material supplier — which categories it works in, and which markets it buys and sells into. That profile is what other members search.

2. 02

   A person reads the papers

   Commercial registration, trade licence and any certifications the company claims. A person reads them, against the registry where one is available, and either lets the company in or writes back saying what is missing. It is not an automated check and it is not instant — we aim to answer applications within two working days.

   What the check covers

   That the company legally exists, that the person applying is connected to it, and that the documents are what they claim to be.

   What it does not

   It is not a credit check, not a quality inspection, and not a guarantee that any particular shipment will arrive as described. Members deal with each other directly and we take no commission and sit in no middle. Verification tells you the company on the other end is real and was checked — the commercial diligence is still yours.

3. 03

   The badge can be lost

   A verified company that changes its registered or trading name loses the badge until somebody has looked again. Members can report a listing or a company, and every report is read by our team. A company that is suspended has its listings taken off the marketplace and its profile out of the directory the same day.

4. 04

   What membership includes

   An annual membership, one login per company. Post products for sale, buying requests, raw materials, private-label capacity and distribution opportunities; browse and search everything other members have posted; write to any of them on Caravela, or contact them directly by phone, WhatsApp or email.

   There is no commission, no transaction fee and no escrow. We are not a party to your trades and we do not want to be.
